Manny's Underground, Denver: I Get More Compliments Than Complaints

I want to give my ideas and feelings about adopting a smoke-free restaurant and bar ordinance.

Manny's Underground is a family restaurant. We’ve been smoke-free since we opened five years ago, and love it. I don’t get complaints, just compliments.

Our environment of 16 tables has wonderful music, great food and superior service – why mess it up with smoke?

I can’t imagine going into a restaurant that allows smoking. It affects the way food tastes, hurts the workers and patrons, and makes cleanup more work. Also table turnover is much better in a smoke-free restaurant.

Smoking is hazardous to smokers and everyone around them.

Let’s implement a smoke-free ordinance for restaurants and bars.
