Testimonials from Restaurant and Bar Owners

Brocaza, Denver: Environment an Asset to Business

We would like Denver to adopt a smoke-free restaurant ordinance.

Bocaza Mexican Grille opened eight years ago as two non-smoking restaurants in Uptown and the Tech Center. We only permit smoking outside the restaurant on the patio.

We are convinced that our smoke-free environment is an asset to the business:

+ It is much better for my health and that of my employees and customers.

+ I don’t even allow my employees to smoke on the premises at all, because they were disposing their butts on the property and smelled like smoke. All smokers have since left.

+ If customers want to smoke, they can smoke on the patio.

+ I am proud of my food, and want people to smell and taste it.
