West City Perk Coffee Shop, Denver: It's Worked for Us, and for New York City

I am in favor of adopting a smoke-free restaurant ordinance.

West City Perk Coffeeshop is a family coffee shop and antique store which opened almost six years ago. We don’t permit smoking on the premises, and there has been no negative impact on my business. I was recently in New York City -- which is all smoke-free, even the bars -- and they were thriving.

We love our smoke-free environment, because the patrons appreciate it, the bake goods smell better, there is a fresher atmosphere, and it protects our valuable antiques.

I appreciate you devoting the time this issue deserves. It will be a very positive impact on the City of Denver.
